WEDDING PLANNING IN ITALY
At Dream Weddings Europe we plan and design destination weddings in Italy with a strong understanding of the local environment and cultural context, supported by Italian members within our team.
Each wedding is managed in full - from sourcing the venue and building the right team to coordinating the arrival time and installation schedule of every supplier involved.
Our international couples are often drawn to historic estates and properties that reflect the character of the country and the region itself, where the wedding extends beyond a single event and becomes a part of the wider guest experience.
LOCATIONS ACROSS ITALY
Rome
Rome combines historic architecture with the infrastructure of a major international city, making it one of the most accessible locations for destination weddings in Italy.
Celebrations here often take place within private villas, historic palazzos and established hotels, where planning is shaped by the operational structure of the venue and the pace of the city itself.
Tuscany
Tuscany is characterised by private estates, vineyards and countryside properties that allow weddings to unfold within a more contained environment.
Most guests arrive through Florence or Pisa before continuing into more rural areas, often requiring additional transportation planning depending on the location of the estate.
As in other parts of central Italy, July and August bring significantly higher temperatures, making season and timing important considerations when planning outdoor celebrations.
Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast offers some of the most distinctive coastal settings in Italy, but also requires the highest level of logistical coordination.
Guests typically arrive through Naples, followed by extended ground transportation along the coast, where narrow roads, timing restrictions and seasonal traffic make transportation and supplier scheduling a central part of the planning process.
PLANNING
Planning a wedding in Italy typically requires a longer timeframe, particularly when the celebration extends across multiple days or involves several locations. Most weddings are developed over 12 to 18 months, allowing time to secure the right venue and coordinate accommodation, transportation and supplier logistics within the region.
The planning process is strongly influenced by timing - from guest arrivals and transfers to installation schedules and the operational limitations of historic properties and remote estates.
To maintain this level of involvement, we take on a limited number of weddings each year, all managed through our full-service planning approach.
SELECTED VENUES
Venues in Italy often define not only the setting of the wedding, but also the rhythm of the celebration itself.
From historic villas and coastal hotels to countryside estates, each property shapes the way guests move through the experience, requiring the structure of the wedding to be developed in relation to the location.

DESIGN
Italy brings a natural sense of elegance to wedding design through its architecture, landscapes and historic estates, which often define the atmosphere of the celebration before any decorative element is introduced.
For this reason, the role of design is to work in relation to the setting rather than transform it - highlighting the character of the venue, the surrounding landscape and the overall experience of the wedding.
This approach is particularly suited to al fresco celebrations, where dining and guest flow become part of the overall composition of the event.
The design project is typically developed around six months before the wedding, defining all visual elements in relation to the couple’s style, the location and seasonal conditions.
INVESTMENT
Weddings in Italy typically begin from €150,000, depending on the location, number of guests and overall structure of the celebration.
The choice of venue plays a defining role in the investment, particularly in regions where accommodation, transportation and logistics become part of the guest experience itself.
Production costs in Italy are also generally higher, especially in relation to floral installations, rentals and labour within historic properties and more logistically demanding locations.
We work with a limited number of weddings each year to ensure each celebration receives the required level of attention. Enquiries can be submitted to discuss your plans.
