WEDDING PLANNING IN FRANCE

France offers a distinct context for weddings, shaped by its architectural heritage, private estates and the role that cuisine and hospitality play in the overall experience.

Weddings in France often take place in châteaux and historic properties, where the structure of the event is defined not only by the location itself, but also by the way the space is used and operated, often across multiple days.

Our team includes French members, allowing us to work directly within the local environment - from supplier coordination to on-site communication - and to manage each project with a clear understanding of how these elements come together.

LOCATIONS ACROSS FRANCE

Paris and surrounding region

Paris offers the most straightforward access for international travel and a strong infrastructure for guest experience.

The city is suited to indoor celebrations, particularly within established hotels, while the surrounding region provides château venues with relatively easy access and more flexibility in structure.

French Riviera

The French Riviera is well connected internationally, but ground logistics can be more complex due to access, seasonality and local constraints.

Weddings often take place in historic properties and hotels, with high temperatures during summer months influencing timing and guest comfort. The location itself plays a defining role, particularly in relation to views and setting.

Provence

Provence typically involves longer transfers from the airport, with many venues located in more remote areas.

This requires structured transportation planning and careful coordination of guest movement. The setting is often defined by open landscapes, gardens and agricultural surroundings, which influence how the event is developed.

Loire Valley

The Loire Valley generally requires extended travel, both internationally and within the region.

In return, it offers a concentration of historic château venues and a strong sense of architectural heritage, often within more isolated natural surroundings. Projects here are typically structured around a single property or estate.

PLANNING

Planning a wedding in France typically requires a longer timeframe, with 12 to 18 months allowing for the right selection of venue, team and overall structure.

The choice of date plays an important role. The summer months, particularly July and August, bring higher temperatures and increased demand, which affects both guest comfort and availability. These periods can still be suitable, but require a different approach.

Venue pricing also varies depending on the season, with notable differences between lower and higher demand periods.

Weddings in France require careful attention to timing throughout the process. The combination of historic venues, regional variation and operational constraints means that decisions need to be defined early and developed with precision. Learn more about our planning process.

SELECTED VENUES

Venues in France are often defined by their history and the way they are operated, which directly shapes how a wedding can be planned within them.

From châteaux and private estates to established hotels, each setting comes with its own framework - influencing access, installation, timing and the overall use of the space.

DESIGN

Design in France is often shaped by the character of the venue, where architectural heritage and surroundings set the tone for the wedding.

Rather than introducing a separate style, the direction is developed to highlight the space itself - from its proportions and materials to the way it is experienced throughout the day - while incorporating elements that reflect the couple’s background and personal context.

This approach favours a more restrained composition, where the result is intended to remain timeless rather than driven by temporary trends.

The design project is typically developed around six months before the wedding, defining all visual elements, including colour palette, floral design, table settings and spatial layout. This is carried out in collaboration with selected florists and rental partners, ensuring that the result is aligned with the couple’s wishes and seasonal requirements, while remaining consistent with the setting.

INVESTMENT

Weddings in France typically begin from €150,000, depending on the location, number of guests and overall scope of the wedding.

The choice of venue plays a defining role in the investment, with pricing varying significantly between regions and between low and high season.

Beyond the venue, costs are influenced by the structure of the wedding, particularly in cases where the celebration extends across multiple days or involves more complex logistics.

We work with a limited number of weddings each year. To discuss your plans -
